Welcome Marianne Shaw, MD

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified rheumatologist Marianne Shaw, MD, to its medical staff.

Dr. Shaw joins the team at Penn Highlands Rheumatology, located at 154 Hospital Avenue, Suite 3, in Tyrone.

With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Shaw, a fellowship-trained specialist, provides highly skilled care for patients with musculoskeletal diseases and systemic autoimmune conditions. There are many treatment options now available in rheumatology, and Dr. Shaw uses the latest innovations to improve her patients’ quality of life. She has vast experience treating many conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, gout, and osteoarthritis. She also has extensive expertise in joint injections for arthritis, as well as injections for treatment of bursitis and tendonitis.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Shaw practiced at Conemaugh Physician Group in Duncansville, Altoona Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center in Duncansville, and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Shaw is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in internal medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio, and her fellowship in rheumatology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and American Medical Association. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
