Welcome Clarence Lin, MD

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified surgeon Clarence Lin, MD, to its medical staff.

Dr. Lin joins the teams at Penn Highlands Oncologic and General Surgery at 401 East Murphy Avenue, 2nd floor, in Connellsville and 800 Plaza Drive, Suite 140, in Rostraver Township, bringing his extensive experience using the latest surgical technology and techniques to the Monongahela Valley area.

With over a decade of experience, Dr. Lin has been dedicated to helping his patients reduce downtime in recovery, minimize post-operative pain and help them return to work sooner all without the need for narcotic pain medication.

Dr. Lin sees patients with diseases of the gallbladder, stomach, small and large intestine and has expertise treating hernias of the groin and abdominal wall. He offers a range of procedures including diagnostic upper endoscopy and screening colonoscopy and advanced minimally invasive / laparoscopic operations which he performs at Penn Highlands Mon Valley and Penn Highlands Connellsville.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Lin practiced at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh and WVU medicine / UHC in Bridgeport, W.V.

Dr. Lin is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine in New York, N.Y. He completed his general surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, in New Haven, C.T. and then furthered his specialty training with a fellowship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, R.I.

He is a member of the American Medical Association, an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.
