Penn Highlands Healthcare Welcomes New CFO
Penn Highlands Healthcare is pleased to announce that Douglas Winner has joined the health system as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role he will administer, direct and monitor all financial operations for the health system. In addition, he will promote clinical and administrative fiscal alignment and help Penn Highlands Healthcare identify and benefit from new opportunities.
Mr. Winner has spent his entire career in fiscal positions with hospitals and health systems -- the last 13 years with Ascension Health Michigan (AHMI). He spent time as the CFO of two different regions covering southeast Michigan where he was able to connect operations, strategy and finance to achieve meaningful planning and results. He significantly impacted the health system's fiscal operations by developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance financial position and improve revenue growth and recognition. During his career, he also held CFO and fiscal management positions with the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio and ProMedica Health System which serves Northwestern Ohio and Southeastern Michigan.
Mr. Winner received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich. and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio.
